ÖzetÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ MEDYA OKURYAZARLIK DÜZEYLERİ İLE ELEŞTİREL DÜŞÜNME EĞİLİMLERİ ÜZERİNE BİR ÇALIŞMA The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between media literacy levels and critical thinking dispositions of preservice teachers. This article examines media literacy level and critical thinking in terms of gender, department, family education level, having a computer and internet, pursuing any newspaper and magazine, frequency of watching tv, main function in program at TV, frequency of internet utility and aims of internet utility. Data were collected through California Critical Thinking Dispositions Inventory and Media Literacy Quenstionnaire. Study group consists of preservice teachers at Faculy of Education at Usak University. Data were analyzed with Mann- Whitney U test, Spearman Rho Correlation Coefficienttechnique and Pearson product-moment correlation cofficient technique. The findings show that critical thinking dispositions and media literacy levels in man are more than those of woman. It was found that there is any significant and positive relationship between Critical thinking dispositions and media literacy levels.
