| Abstract | In this study, the control over Profibus-DP network backbone of the design of a security system has been examined. The network-induced delay that occurs in data transmission between the field and control unit has been analyzed. Network based control in the security systems increases the performance of the system and negative effects of network-induced delay on critical time in state perception can be reduced by high speed Profibus-DP network. |
